Brandon Miller believes the Hornets can be dangerous. 🐝🔥

With LaMelo Ball gone, Miller is confident Charlotte’s young core can take a major step forward if they stay healthy:

“If we're a healthy team, we're a dangerous team. We can go a long way, a long way. We've shown that we can compete with any team on any given night.”

Miller also believes their chemistry will translate directly to the court:

“I think just always been the health problems. I've never really used that for an excuse, but I think just the level of focus and the bond of the players goes a long way. The stronger the bond is, the easier it is on the floor. I really believe in that.”

Don't sleep on the Hornets. 👀

Coby White is confident Charlotte can turn some heads this season.

"We've got a chance to be a really good team and surprise a lot of people, but we've got to put the work in."

With the team's new pieces already putting in work together months before training camp, White believes the chemistry is already starting to build.

"I think we've got a really, really good team... Everybody's bought in."

The East won't be easy, but the Hornets are embracing the challenge and believe they have what it takes to surprise many people this season.

Lance Stephenson says his biggest NBA regret wasn't a game, a decision, or a missed opportunity on the court.

It was what happened after he got paid.

After leaving Indiana for Charlotte, Stephenson signed a three-year, $27 million contract.

And he admits his hunger changed.

"Once I got paid, I didn't keep that hunger. I kind of slowed."

He got the cars.

The houses.

The lifestyle.

He was going back to his neighborhood, making music videos and enjoying everything that came with finally making it.

But Stephenson says part of him wishes he had responded differently.

"I should have just started going harder and harder."

He was still in the gym.

But he was also "outside."

"I was in the gym, but I was outside and in the gym at the same time."

Looking back, Stephenson says the mindset should have stayed simple.

"Just stay in the gym. When you get paid, stay in the gym because there's more money there."

His biggest lesson?

Getting paid isn't the finish line.

Stephenson wishes he had used that moment as motivation to work even harder.

"Right now, I wish I went crazy at that time so I could have more fun right now."

The Charlotte Hornets have emerged as a top landing spot for Russell Westbrook, and honestly, it makes a lot of sense.

After trading away LaMelo Ball to Minnesota this offseason, Charlotte suddenly has a real hole in its backcourt. Beyond Coby White, the point guard depth is thin, with only Tre Mann and rookie Christian Anderson behind him. Enter a nine-time All-Star.

Westbrook is still producing, even at 37.
🔷15.2 points
🔷6.7 assists
🔷5.4 rebounds
🔷1.3 steals per game.

The fit works on paper. With enough shooting around him in Charlotte's starting five, Westbrook could either start or run the second unit, potentially pushing the Hornets from a play-in hopeful to a genuine top-six threat in the East.

On a likely one-year, minimum deal, there's very little downside. If it clicks, Charlotte gets a veteran floor general and a mentor for their young core. If it doesn't, they move on.

The Wizards, Heat, and Kings have also been linked. But the Hornets need him most.

A future Hall of Famer chasing meaningful minutes. A young team needing a leader. This one might just work.

Brandon Miller didn't try to hide how much LaMelo Ball's departure affected him. Beyond the business side of the NBA, losing someone you've shared the journey with is never easy.

Even with the emotions, Miller believes LaMelo is headed in the right direction and is looking forward to seeing him continue to grow in Minnesota. 👀
