Today, I started beating myself up for watching TV, when we all know there are a million other things I could be doing.

I began reminding myself that 1) thoughts are not ultimate truth and usually not my own 2) there is a place inside of me without words, and that is the place that should lead and 3) I don’t remember anymore and these photos have that same energy.

So yeah, that place without words? Follow that.

Love,
Taylor

If something you used to love feels less magical than it did before, I invite you to go back to the beginning.

Why you started in the first place.

When you had no other reason to do it other than for the simple act of it itself.

Welcome back your magic 💫🌟

I’ve decided, it’s not about me.

How freeing is that?

It’s not about me. Never was.

One of my favorite metaphors about life is that of a tapestry.

No one single strand thinks it’s better than the other, or worse, it simply plays its part in the grand design.

So, f**k it! It’s not about me. I’m not better than you, no one is better than me, or worse, we simply are. Life simply is.

The sooner we let go of that fact, or simply stop resisting it, the better the world will be. You have a part to play, but chances are you’re too scared to try. So I dare you.

What would it look like if you realized it’s not even about you?

It’s about the kid that looks up to you thinking “I can be like them one day!”

It’s about the family you helped eat by giving a generous tip.

It’s about the people you pass by on the street that feel your energy and are better for it.

So quit making it about you. If that’s what’s holding you back.

Your ego will kill your dreams way faster than anything else you’re afraid of. Let it go, f**k it.

Even you telling your story isn’t about you, never was. It’s about the people who read it, hear it, and see themselves. It’s about them.

Who are you depriving of their kismet magic moment right now? Who?

So next time your fear and what if’s and ego are holding you back, remind yourself who what you do is really for.

Show up for them, even if it’s hard to show up for you.

Love,

Tay @ Be Free

Going in full-time to work for yourself is immensely freeing, and immensely isolating (especially right now) and full of heartache and struggle.

I’ve been so insecure about these feelings of inadequacy and confusion and paralysis that I haven’t really shared much on here about my *feelings.* (like I normally do lol)

The truth is you guys, the person you see on this app, in these photos & captions, is different from the girl in real life.

People who know me in person know that I struggle. I’m constantly asking questions, constantly seeking answers outside of myself, and within. It’s not easy. But I am joyful! And also painfully insecure at times too.

I don’t even realize it, but I filter this image of freedom and joy and light, while at the same time I feel trapped a lot, and scared a lot, and in darkness a lot.

So if you are feeling there too, it’s ok. I understand. I see you, I feel you. You’re not any less successful because you have intense emotions sometimes or a lot of the time. It’s ok to be human, it’s beautiful to be human.

So remember when you’re scrolling through these tiny squares that what you see is rarely reality. I’ve been doing my best to show up as authentically as possible on here, but I know I can always do better.

I have no interest in curating a dream for you all, as much as I thought that that was what Instagram is about.

To me, it’s about connection and storytelling.

You can’t have a good story without some plot twists, right?

Nothing’s happy and shiny all the time. Find the shiny parts that you can. Create them, for yourself and for others as much as possible.

I love you,

Tay

P.S. Share a shiny part of your day with me? Mine was a sweet walk with my mama & a run this morning 🤍🥰

For me, one of the most profound experiences I had was getting to know Marianne Lieberman (’ grandmother) through a book she wrote. She is a WW2 survivor, painter, writer, and one heckuva person.

Here is one of my favorite quotes I read that weekend:

“Life must include inner depth, art, music, and poetry to live it to the fullest. And of course, there was the repeated admonition: Know thyself.”

I wanted to share more of this magical weekend with you all than just some clips to a Fleetwood Mac song. Even though it’s a pretty rad rendition of what it felt like being out there 🤍

There’s still some spots left for the winter session, and every one is different! Contact for more info 🤍

Oh and catch us love on Tuesday to get real deep and see my cards get read! 👀👁🧿

HBD Janini 🤍✨

This angel and I met on the set of a Toyota commercial yearsss ago in Manila. (I was there visiting, not living there yet.) We immediately clicked, right off the bat, and I knew there was something so special about her.

She invited me to a few causal hangs before I left, like movie premieres with pro soccer players (🥴) and parties thrown by celebrities (that we never made it to—plus both of us hated dressing up 🤣) & actual clubs (I was 19 at the time) drinking cosmos like it was nbd 😘

Years later, I came back, and she invited me on yet another trip that would change the course of my life.

On that trip, she taught me everything about Instagram. How to pose, what to post, how to edit photos and maintain a feed, everything I needed to know to start taking this platform more seriously.

A couple years later, here we are.

The first two (& last) were shot in February 2020–she came to visit me in Charlotte (?! still shocked tbh) and we spent a glorious week eating food, creating content, and just plain enjoying life.

Looking back, the timing was wild—Covid had begun, but no one really understood the magnitude or was taking it seriously yet. (She showed up and was confused why no one was wearing masks 😐)

Anyway, point is, this trip was beautiful, and I’m so glad it happened before all the craziness began.

This girl deserves blessings on blessings on blessings for everything she does for this world, her friends, her family, her colleagues. Her spirit is radiant, easygoing, and generous, and I feel so blessed to know her. I literally wouldn’t be where I am today without her 🤍

I love you so much, Janini! Happy Birthdayyyyyyy!

All my love from NC (it misses you!),

Love you, brudda. Happy Birthday 🎉

Can’t wait to laugh uncontrollably about absolutely nothing and talk about absolutely everything with you so so soon.

I’m so proud of you. You’re still the coolest kid I know. Thanks for being my best friend and constantly reaching me so much.

Miss you,
Ate 🤍

Hi friends 🤍 Here’s a compilation of moments from the last year of my life.

Silly it may seem, but going through these moments gave me so much joy, gratitude, and hope for the future.

I hope it feels the same for you.

As we enter the last month of the year, I encourage you to give yourself space for reflection and gratitude as well!

Thank you to all the amazing people who made 26 what it was, and thank you to all the amazing parts of 27 that I’m excited to witness!

Happy December, folks!

All my love,

Tay

P.S. there was sooo much footage to go through and I definitely didn’t get it all! So much love🤍
