One thing about Jon Scheyer is that each time he has lost Heatbreaker in back-to-back years, he rolls up his sleeves without sulking, re-flexes, reloads, and goes after it again.

"You'll need Prime Video for Duke-UConn, Michigan anbd Gonzqga next season

Amazon and Duke University today announced a multiyear agreement for Prime Video to present exclusive coverage of Duke's storied men's basketball program. The agreement marks Prime Video's first college sports relationship, and starting this fall, the streamer will present three marquee Duke Blue Devils men's basketball neutral-site nonconference games per season.

The series of exclusive top-tier matchups is slated to tip off in Las Vegas during the week of Thanksgiving and Black Friday on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026, when Duke faces the Connecticut Huskies in T-Mobile Arena. The action continues Monday, Dec. 21, at New York City's famed Madison Square Garden, where Duke will take on the Michigan Wolverines. Prime Video's inaugural college basketball showcase culminates in early 2027 on Saturday, Feb. 20, with the Blue Devils squaring off against the Gonzaga Bulldogs in Detroit's Little Caesars Arena. All games will be produced by Prime Video, with exact times and other coverage details to be announced later.

It's exciting to bring this relationship with Duke University to life, and we're looking forward to presenting this premium college basketball showcase to fans around the world next season and beyond," said Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships, Prime Video. "Duke basketball games transcend the schedule, and the creation of this all-new offering gives fans more of what we all want, marquee matchups featuring the most successful programs in the nation."

"In addition to our outstanding partnership with ESPN, we are excited to work with Prime Video on this groundbreaking initiative," said Nina King, Vice President and King-Compton Families Director of Athletics, Duke. "As Prime Video's first college sports partner, this collaboration not only expands the global reach of Duke Men's Basketball but also creates meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes in a way that reflects innovation and excellence."

Duke landed the top scorer in the transfer portal when John Blackwell ended his recruitment one day after his trip to Durham. Blackwell committed to Duke after conferring with Jon Scheyer and his agent.

"Their pitch to me was, come here, have freedom," Blackwell said. "You can come here and be a draft pick, and that's always my dream. Come here and help us win a national championship. Those are just things I love to hear. I love the campus, I love the people surrounding Duke. That's why I made my choice to be a Blue Devil, "said Blackwell to ESPN's Jeff Borzello.

Blackwell also said he was not put off by the fact that Duke would have four PGs, "They have four PGs. I would consider myself a point guard," Blackwell said. "We're just going to push each other every day. [When you] have a deep backcourt like we're going to have, it's going to be a matchup nightmare for teams. I'm just so excited to play with those guys and challenge those guys.

The Duke newcomer had a 30-plus point, 10 rebound outing in the tournament, and he is a bucket ready to happen. Blackwell is considered one of, if not the top scorer, in the portal.

Duke is still kicking the wheels on other guys as the roster settles, where you can expect news to come out daily.

Plagiarism is rampant on Facebook. We have our entire tweets or articles taken elsewhere, as if it is their own work. There is no fake news or made-up stuff here, folks. We sit on the sidelines in person at Duke, so you can trust what you see here as real, actual, tangible material. No smoke and mirrors or borrowed content, we are in the dugout with info you can trust.

That said, John Blackwell will be on campus today, and he is a big-time scorer Scheyer covets. Hen is slated to go to Louisville later in the week and originally said he would have a late May decision. Just a reminder: the NBA draft entry is coming up, and a Duke player on the roster could opt to test the waters for feedback.

Duke will remain involved with Allen Graves, a skilled player they want to meet further with.

Jon wants a deeper bench than the nine-man rotation he had last season. Keep that in mind as the wheels continue to spin in the next month.

The NIL era has changed the way information has taditionally been shared. Player announcements to return and leave come at a slower pace. Various factors come into play, mostly negotiations with player agents.

So, the ride still has a few turns and shifts after some decisions are made. That is the way it is now, a little slower development and grueling on the nerves for fans, but the necessary diligence by the staff in an era where you have to check off several boxes before everyone can relax.
