Here we are, 2 weeks after my first chemo treatment for Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer.

I had planned on posting more videos but reality set in and rest was way more important.

Thank you for being here for my journey, all the support, encouragement and incredible testimonies you’ve shared.

As I go into my 2nd chemo treatment next week I will carry all the prayers and positivity with me.

The worst day of my life, so far. No doubt.
I started the day thinking I’d be hearing one thing and then being completely shocked to hear the news.
It wasn’t even on my radar. I was so sure it was something in my abdomen or gastro related.
I often think about what it would have been like if I received this news once I was at home, in private. A day I’ll never forget, that’s for sure.

Besides asking about me and my treatment plan the most asked question is how are the kids dealing with it?

And I’m happy to say that because of my village, my kids have been able to keep being kids and not be stuck in my cancer bubble. I’m so grateful for my sister, she’s been my rock, my biggest cheerleader and more. But above all she’s stepped up as Auntie and given my boys a safe place to land in the middle of this not so great time of our lives.

So my best answer is, they pray for mommy every single day, but they have been loved on and distracted by the people who love them the most and for that I’m so grateful. 🩵

I wanted to tell you myself because this community has been such a big part of my life.

The next six months or so are going to look a little different around here.
There will probably be tears.
There will definitely be sarcasm.
And knowing me… probably a few inappropriate jokes. That’s just how I survive hard things.

I’m scared. I’m hopeful. I’m overwhelmed.

But I’m not disappearing.

Oh, and cancer sucks. A big one.
