Radio CLT superfriend Scott Sturgis asked if we have a wish list for the new studio. We gave it some thought and here's what we came up with:

#1 with a bullet: 2 custom Windows 11 Computers. You may have noticed some dropouts on the air the last couple of days. The Media Arts Center has Google Fiber. We're running an old ratty Windows 10 Machine from the 2010s. It just can't keep up! The parts for each machine run about $1k.

#2 Speakers: Can you see our speakers in the pic? Exactly. JBL L52 or similar bookshelf speakers with stands to put them on. We have an amp, so we don't need powered monitors.

#3: Audioarts DMX 16 console. We want to have in-studio guests, musicians, turntables, put callers on air, do remote broadcasts...you know...radio stuff.

#4 Turntable(s). we have 10k records in storage. It would be cool to find out what's on them...in real time...on the air.

#5. An FM signal. Got one? Let's talk.

#6. YOUR SUPPORT. We're trying to build a station in the spirit of WXPN, KEXP, WNCW right here in Charlotte. Seriously, Western NC gets a station like WNCW and we don't?

Let's do this.

13th August 1975: “Let me say straight away that Genesis will continue as a group."

50 years ago today, Charisma Records label manager Tony Stratton Smith wrote this letter to Atlantic Records' president Jerry Greenberg addressing Peter Gabriel's departure from the band and the future of Genesis.
