Many Truckers think steel is all you have to be concerned about when it comes to forward movement. I’m here to tell you “Lumber” will take you out if you aren’t careful. This pic is a prime example!
•Proper securement is KEY!
•You can never be to SAFE! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
•Don’t leave any slack in your straps!!!!
•Make sure your straps aren’t worn out!!! Hauling lumber will finish off worn straps!! Trust me!!
•If you have double stacks, it will not hurt to strap the bottom stack! You can never be to SAFE!!!
•Following distance matters!!! Save yourself from having to slam on the brakes! There are times when it’s out of our control, for the most part we are in control!
•Be aware of you Surroundings! That’s KEY!!
•Be Patient!!! I’ll say it again, Be Patient!!!!
• Depending on the lumber stacks you might come across a single piece Of lumber trying to slide out, always check you load! Tarps can help with stopping a few single pieces from shifting to far.
