Charlotte is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence with public art in Independence Park. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation partnered with Charlotte Is Creative to commission local artist Amber Thompson to paint a new mural honoring the Meck Dec and the county’s rich history.
