Moving to the Big City 🏙️

Charlotte looked a lot different in 2010, but for Ashley it was still a huge adjustment from her small hometown.

Now, she enjoys a full life in the Queen City doing what she absolutely loves to do. This city is full of opportunities and Ashley is a great example of what happens if you give Charlotte a chance.

Math major to math teacher aren’t exactly the steps you think of for someone covering sports, but a chance ad that her mom heard helped her reignite the passion to cover sports! Now she covers a multitude of sports all over the country.

Our next guest on Queen City Unleashed, Ashley Stroehlein, might be the best partner to have at sports trivia because she has covered so many of them.

Ashley is an anchor, host, and reporter for so many different sports and is about to get a lot busier with the start of football.

Ashley’s journey to where she is now is so unlikely from what she studied in college. While a lot of reporters would study sports media, journalism, or even English, Ashley studied Math… but sports were always in her heart. Her path to get to where she is now is so unique, but a great reminder of following your dreams and doing anything to get there.

Do not be surprised if you see this face on your TV this season, because she might just be covering your favorite team on a Saturday or Sunday!

We are all responsible for creating the culture we want to see. It takes sacrifice, effort, and sometimes a little inconvenience. The sum of it all though, is something we can be proud of and benefits more than just ourselves.
