Join the Independent Picture House (IPH) for its annual Community Impact Film Series kick-off event: Women’s Health on March 23, 2024, from 11AM-3PM.
IPH’s Community Impact Film Series sparks dialogue and builds bridges between people and organizations through the power of film.
The Women’s Health event will be an energetic gathering featuring wellness workshops, screenings of acclaimed independent films, a panel discussion with filmmakers and women’s health community leaders.
The featured film screenings and panel discussion will be moderated by Benita Bortey (), host of The Session with Lady Bortey.
The film Below the Belt is a breakthrough documentary feature film on reproductive health and endometriosis. The film Below the Belt was directed By Shannon Cohn () and Produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton (), Rosario Dawson (), Corinne Foxx (), and Mae Whitman (). The film shares the personal and inspiring stories of four patients urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms, exposing widespread problems in our health care systems.
A short film: SUNSET will screen prior to the Charlotte premiere of the acclaimed feature length documentary film Below the Belt. SUNSET is a short film By Ron Fields and Rebekah Ofori-Frimpong () about a woman facing a cancer diagnosis that has her re-examining her life, past regrets, loves, and desires.
