• Correspond to South Sudan Television broadcast
• Travel with South Sudan Head of mission to attend diplomatic function of the government
• Develop and Deliver Communications Strategies of the Embassy
• Help manage the Embassy relationship with the American press.
• Proactively create campaign ideas for media consumption of the Embassy and government of South Sudan. Help develop and deliver Embassy media strategies.
• Liaise with the central Communications Team in South Sudan and with regional departmental teams including South Sudan embassy at the UN in New York, Ministry of Telecommunications and Postal Services.
• Maintaining the Embassy media contact list and proactively brief media contacts on
American policy including the targeted distribution of communications material.
• Manage media events including drafting and issuing material, (press releases and website material etc.), organize, invite and help manage press attendance at Embassy events, interviews and press conferences – particularly for South Sudanese VIP visiting America. Deng has served as a 3 Time South Sudan Representative Delegate to UNITED NATION General Assembly – GA -71st session 13 September 2016, GA 72 Session 18-28 September,2017 and GA- 73 session Sept 23 -oct 1,2018
