This might be controversial but before we listed our house for sale, I had all of our designer lighting removed and swapped it out for something more neutral. Why? Lighting is one of the easiest ways to personalize a home to your own style. It's the jewelry of interior design. I thought our buyers might swap it out to something that suits their own tastes anyway and I'd love to be able to use the fixtures that I selected in the renovation of our new home.
