Yes!!! Production is ramping up and our casting department is sooooooo excited. Keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime:

Actors, especially those based in the Richmond, VA area, please prepare now.

1. Breakdown Services or Actors Access accounts must be UP TO DATE. This means that your photo and your SAG status and your slate shots are representative of what you look like, sound like, now/currently. We release most breakdowns on this industry standard service. If you want to be hired as a professional actor, you need a professional profile.

2. Make sure your self-tape equipment and overall set-up is up to pro standards. It doesn’t have to be fancy, phones are great cameras today...but, it needs your eye, your awareness of what the industry expects. Framing, sound, plain background, focus, lighting, eye-line (within 8 inches of the camera lens but NOT directly in). We need to see and hear you clearly. We need to see into your eyes and witness your in-character thinking.

3. Practice, view, test, retest, view again. And throughout this practice...enjoy making the best self tapes you ever have. Take a scene from your favorite show, challenge yourself with short (1 line) and longer (3 pg) material. If you do this regularly, chances are you will ROCK the self tape audition. (Hint: The pace in television is almost always faster than one thinks...that goes for audition material too. Compact, quick thinking, honest and truthful being is a great default setting unless told otherwise.)

4. Get familiar with Zoom and all its glory. This is the standard way we hold virtual auditions, though we will also be trying WeAudition too (it’s FREE, but if you love it you can join for 25% off with this discount code: ARVOLD25). On either platform, get used to having real conversations with people by looking INTO the computer lens or phone camera lens so they feel you are looking directly at them. This is for the human-to-human banter portion of the session.
