Bypass open. Motorists should expect residual delays as traffic operations return to normal.

** Traffic Alert **

All southbound lanes and one northbound lane is closed on the 250/29 bypass at Barracks Road due to a motor vehicle crash and downed tree. Expect delays and follow signage for alternate routes.

Albemarle County Public Schools Department of Transportation has immediate openings for qualified drivers who already hold a valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License. Experienced CDL drivers are placed on a step scale based on years of experience and can make up to $41.43 an hour. If you are interested or want to become a driver and don't have a Virginia Commercial Driver's License, positions are available for the rest of this school year and the start of next school year. Trainees receive full-time pay starting at $24.43 an hour and health benefits. Training sessions are ongoing and will continue through the summer.
