Around This Town Join us each Tuesday from 4-7pm as we throw our musical nets over the acts coming to the Central VA area, and even pull a few of them in to play live.

Around This Town is WTJU's way of letting listeners hear about all the great LIVE music that we have in this town, almost every night. Whether it be a long-standing local band, an up-and-coming group who's on tour from afar, a brand new band from our area who's just starting to get on the local scene, or larger acts we've all known and loved, ATT and its announcers select songs to help highlight b

Tonight's Offbeat Roadhouse features a trio out of the DC area blending Latin American music with some Texas roots and americana. Doors open at 7:30, and Crooked Sparrow at Offbeat Roadhouse starts at 8 on the nose. Hope you will come out and be part of the studio audience. A reminder that two-time national flatpicking guitar champion (and incredible multi-instrumentalist) Scott Fore is heading to Charlottesville this very night for his annual Offbeat Roadhouse concert. The guy has won so many other championships as well as being a Virginia Folklife Program (Virginia Humanities) master artist, so don't your opportunity to catch him tonight over at WTJU.

While their February 29 gig at The Front Porch is sold out, we are still keeping our fingers crossed Missy and the band will have time to stop by The Stage for a live session.
