Sophia and Ryan’s wedding was lit right out the gate. I pushed the energy high immediately, they reciprocated, but I could tell the room needed a second to breathe (without feeling like we were taking a break).

I had their trust, and they showed signs of being a tasteful crowd. so I played “got me started” by troye sivan. upbeat and vibey, gave em a second to collect themselves while still dancing.

it’s not a traditional wedding song. it’s not something I’d play for every crowd, but it was the perfect song for this one.

that’s one of my favorite parts of djing weddings: the more I understand your taste, the more interesting places I can take the dance floor.

I don’t want every wedding I dj to sound the same.

the couples I work with usually don’t either!!!

did you know “Right Thurr” came out 23 years ago? That’s the same amount of time between Billy Joel’s “It’s Still Rock n Roll to Me” and “Right Thurr’s” initial release date. We are getting OLD.

Also I think Right Thurr should replace “Fishin in the Dark” as a wedding song staple.

always a fan of real time crowd feedback | big love to A&S, they threw an immaculate banger at The Beach Club Events and were in the hands of Archifête Wedding Planning & Design. they also required an arab hip hop dj that also had love for charli xcx, and UP Event Group happens to employ one of those
