The Chanhassen Villager is mailed on Thursdays by request to approximately 5,600 homes and businesses in Chanhassen, which has been ranked by Money magazine as one of the country’s best cities in which to live. Once a year, readers are asked to consider paying a voluntary subscription to support the newspaper’s operation. The Villager was launched to serve that fast-growing suburb in fall 1987, at
the same time the Minnesota Twins were winning their first World Series championship. The newspaper staff was originally housed in the retail arm of the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres complex, and quickly became the community’s paper of record. The Chanhassen Villager is published by Southwest Newspapers, a division of Red Wing Publishing Company. We are an active member of the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
