Your twenties are for questions; your forties are for answers. With time comes clarity, and we’re here for it.

“Forties, now that’s the perfect age. You’ll find it’s much better than your twenties. Maybe you have more endurance in your twenties, but your mind isn’t fully developed yet. And there’s just too much uncertainty: ‘Who am I? What do I want to be?’ You start to figure it out in your thirties, but the forties are when it all comes together. It’s like the legs of a table; everything gets stronger: your sense of self, your career, your relationships. Then things start to become uncertain again. I’ll be turning eighty in a few weeks. And a lot of the uncertainty I had in my twenties, I have again. Except now the uncertainty doesn’t come from worrying about the future. It’s hoping that there is one, as simple as that.”

It’s never just “blah, blah, blah” to me!

I love hearing someone’s ideas and rolling up my sleeves to make those concepts prime time. Bringing out the best in people is what I love to do—through marketing and communications or as I look toward my future profession as a counselor. Whether I’m crafting a social media campaign or helping someone find their voice, my goal is always the same: to bring out the best version of someone. It’s about listening, understanding, and amplifying what makes them unique. Everyone has a story worth sharing, and I genuinely love being part of the process that makes it shine.

We are thrilled to announce Help4All as our fundraising partner for this special event. 

You may know her as Sally Simonfay, the passionate advocate always striving to make life better, easier, and more manageable for those most affected by homelessness. To me, she’ll always be Sally Gardner, a fellow CHS alum whose parents lived next to mine in Chatham for 15 years. Sally has always led with her heart, so when I thought about where my fundraising efforts could make the biggest impact, she came to mind. 

Help4All is a grassroots organization in Newark, NJ, focused on direct outreach to the homeless community. Each week, Sally and her team provide meals, blankets, clothing, and hygiene kits to hundreds in need. Recently, they discovered a group of homeless women, known as the “Girl Spot,” who live year-round in tents for safety. With your support, Help4All hopes to provide these women with essential winter gear and supplies to help them through the colder months.  

Thank you to Sally, Pat Byrnes (my wonderful stager), MJ from Embel Consulting, who has been my trusted social media marketer for almost four years, Nadielle McArthur, who has generously donated her time and talents, and the ever-inspiring Stephanie Akers, who always steps up and asks, “What can I do to help?” To all of my tribe, thank you. There is no way I could have pulled this off without you. 💕
