Hi, it’s Jen. Hope you’ve had a great weekend! I’d like you to please congratulate Jeff as he makes the transition from the Chattanooga Drive In Show over to During the Break. Though he won’t be on 5 days a week, he’ll be back in your ear holes with Clint Powell at the helm 3 days a week starting tomorrow. Here are a few words from Jeff, “I'm excited about working with Clint and his 'During the Break' podcast team. I'm not yet ready for full retirement and am chomping at the bit for an outlet during this remarkable period of change in our nation and world. From Roe v Wade's reversal to the 1/6th Hearings to Ukraine to the new faces in local governance, I'll add to the public debate with a perspective that's unique among stereotypical 'left leaning/right leaning' traditional media. When my partner from the 'Chattanooga Drive-In Show', Jen Lambert and I, released a video asking if you saw a need for the re-introduction of my voice, the answer was a resounding 'YES!'. While I'm proud of the great success 'CDIS' achieved, Chattanooga just wasn't yet ready to financially support a daily show with four salaries and studio overhead. I miss seeing Jen, Russell Stroud and Bryan Stone every morning and hope we can work together again one day. Thanks to them, our advertisers and outside supporters. Best of luck in all their new ventures.
Join me on Mondays at 10am for a fresh, new take on the 'Upfront Wrapup'...Fridays at 10 for the new 'Weekend Windup', wherein I curate the most important and interesting headlines from around the globe, the nation...from around the corner from where you are right now. And on Wednesday mornings for a short new feature called 'Death by Boomer', a humorous monologue hoping to appeal to my peers in their 50's, 60's, 70's and beyond AND the younger generations who still struggle to understand us.
The kickoff is Monday, 10/24, noonish on 'During the Break' on Spotify, Apple or your favorite podcast platform."
As for me, I want nothing but the best for Jeff. I’m extremely grateful that I got to spend the last several years working beside him and hopefully brought you as much laughter and joy as the whole morning show crew brought me.
I’m going to leave the Chattanooga Drive In Show page up and running, because why not? I’m proud of what we accomplished…and who knows, maybe we’ll be back together one day.
I’ll miss you. You know how to reach me, if you need me. Peace.
