Construction Update in !

East Ridge Community Center Officially Closed for Renovations 🏗️

This week the East Ridge Community Center officially closed to the public as the city prepares for an exciting new chapter!

While the building is temporarily closed, the Community Center Supervisor and staff remain actively involved in recreation operations on-site. Staff have been relocated within the City’s Municipal Complex and continue to manage and maintain the East Ridge Dog Park, Splash Pad, and Pioneer Frontier Park. For assistance or general inquiries, staff can be reached via phone.

During the interim closure, all senior programming, including functional fitness, will be located at East Ridge Untied Methodist Church at regularly scheduled time.

On March 27, 2025, the Mayor and Council approved and awarded a construction bid to Pillar Construction Group, LLC for the expansion and enhancement of the Community Center. The total project cost is $1,718,000, which includes the base bid and two selected alternates to enhance the facility’s features and functionality.

🗓️ What’s Next?

✅ The Notice to Proceed will be issued: June 27, 2025

✅ Construction will begins: July 7, 2025

✅ Estimated Completion: Within 270 days (9 months)

This investment marks a significant step forward in creating a more modern, accessible, and community-focused space for residents of all ages. We’re excited to share progress updates along the way and can’t wait to welcome you back to a reimagined East Ridge Community Center in 2026!

The City of East Ridge is working to provide relief for citizens of East Tennessee involved in the storms from Hurricane Helene and resulting flooding. We will be collecting items to include clothing, shoes, toys, animal related items, toiletries, nonperishable food, & more. These items will be transported to the City of Collegedale on Friday, and then on to the affected area Saturday via the Fire Department/Mutual Aid.

We will set up drop off boxes to collect donations at City Hall and the Community Center in for local citizens, business owners, and any other interested parties to donate. Items will be collected until Friday, October 4, 2024, at 2pm.
