Today, we remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were trying to escape.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, dispatchers, doctors, nurses and volunteers who faced the unimaginable and kept moving toward people who needed them.
We remember the families whose lives were forever changed.
Their sacrifice did not end when the cameras turned away. Their grief did not end when the anniversaries passed.
Twenty-five years later we owe them more than a passing thought.
We owe them remembrance.
Never forget.
