Here's another video Live From the Rooftop with The Retrophonics, a band I'm playing bass in. The Retrophonics are only a few months old in Chattanooga but all the blokes are seasoned pros and the collective is really good, as you will see in this video.

This is an Elvis Costello tune and this band plays retro tunes from the 1970s and 80s in a stripped down, wall-of-guitar, college radio sound. BOLO for The Chattanooga Retrophonics to be playing out live at a venue near you.

I wanted to share a video I did in my studio with one of the bands I'm in, The Retrophonics. Hope it is okay to share with the group, but I'd like to let local musicians know of what I am producing in my studio, located in downtown Chattanooga, 5 minutes from Miller Park.

This is a live recording of The Retrophonics captured direct into my DAW and I mastered it in the box. No overdubs, just live chops. I also can do ambient room recordings in the studio with a couple of nice tube and condenser mics that will give a live venue sound. This studio is set up for live audio and video recordings, the idea to capture what you or your band look and sound like in a live music setting.

The studio is also available for rehearsal rental by the hour if anyone needs a nice comfortable and clean place to rehearse. I have a PA with subs plus full backline guitar amps, bass amps, stage piano and 5-piece Pearl drum set. What I'm spinning in the studio now. Was working on a video and noticed this song, my favorite Stevie Wonder tune, was gradually fading for a long time. I put a db meter on it and it starts fading around 4:23 which means it has roughly a 70-second fade and I totally love it.
I think the production quality of this tune for the early 1970s is amazing. Thank you Stevie and George Marino who has the mastering credit for this album. Other works he mastered:

Live from The Rooftop Music Studio this week is Chattanooga's Jack Endelouz band, and they are covering The Beatles' Don't Let Me Down. Endelouz is an iconic Chattanooga band playing a great mix of originals and covers at local music venues, and they are a must-see if you are a live music lover.

I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Jack and the gang on this Beatles song that is near and dear to me. If you didn't know it, I named this studio after the Beatles' rooftop concert of 1969.

Here's a video I completed recently for local band, The Retrophonics, of which I happen to play bass with. In this video we have Matthew Mayer on vocals and lead guitar, Gio JP Ciotti on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jim Kocieniewski on drums, and Tony Perri (me) on bass and vocals.

The Retrophonics are a new collective but musicians who've been around and who will be gigging the area soon. This video turned out well and I appreciate their trust in me to do some live music work.

Rooftop Music is a rehearsal space located in downtown Chattanooga, 5 minutes from Miller Park. It is also set up for live recordings for local bands or musicians who want to document their chops as if playing live on stage.

Here's what we started the day off with in the studio. Undoubtedly my favorite 90s band. They were so ahead of their time and so underappreciated. This band never toured much but in 2004 i was at a conference in San Francisco and they were playing at the Red Devil Lounge, a small music venue downtown and I had the fortune of being right place right time. They were one of the most amazing 3 piece bands I've ever seen.

The "AI DJ" on Spotify has taken over in the studio. So far he's 1 for 1. I was a little worried when he said hello as I opened Spotify just now, with his 20something hip-hop vibe voice, 2 things I/my music preferences are not. 😊
