Meet Vincent Eg Monte, Video Editor at 148 Studios. Vincent takes the footage captured on set and turns it into a finished story through editing, sound, pacing, and color. In his words, the process is simple: import, cut, paste, hunt, mix, color, repeat. What he loves most about filmmaking is being able to transform an idea into something people can see, feel, and experience.
At 148, Vincent has developed a particular passion for color grading and continues to push himself creatively with every project. He draws inspiration from other filmmakers, builds a playlist to set the tone before diving into an edit, and pays close attention to the details that shape the final story. One of his favorite projects so far was MCA’s “The Y,” his first official TV commercial and a project that taught him lessons he still carries into his work today.
When he’s not editing, you might find Vincent feeding stray dogs, playing basketball, making his nightly cold brew, or planning a future shoot somewhere like Lake Como, Napa Valley, or Mayon Volcano. And if there’s music playing while he works, there’s a pretty good chance it’s Sabrina Carpenter.
