Had an absolute blast (lobby noise was just background music) recording this week's guests at The Chattanooga Choo Choo while Jazz Fest was getting its groove on! Huge thanks to Beth Carroll, Logan Vanderwaal and Bob Carty for taking time out to chat with me today.

Thanks to Bill Lee at Gate 11 Distillery for hooking us up with lobby access in case the rain decided to crash the party. David Relano was his awesome self and I'm learning a ton from him!

And, I've finally given my new friends a name - put your hands together for Mr. & Mrs Jack and Ivory of the Choo Choo!

So while we were recording yesterday David Relano phrased what our goal was so perfectly. “We want to get Chattanooga to recognize our artists BEFORE they play at Carnegie Hall or win a Grammy or Tony Awards or whatever else monumental thing they might achieve. We want to lift them so they rise faster, not wait until they are famous to claim them later”.

We shot our first episode of the podcast yesterday! Thank you so much to all of our first guests: Steven W. Disbrow, Vic Burgess, and Eric Furcsik. I had a blast, and one day I'll get better at interviewing. Practice makes perfect. 😃 Huge thanks to Marty at Cherry Street Tavern for letting us use the space! Anyone who knows me knows that Cherry Street is one of my favorite places, and to be able to start out here means so much to me!
