Every off-season reveals who wants it and who's just talking. Some kids are in the cage before school putting up swings, working mechanics after practice, studying their at-bats on weekends—while others are just "around baseball," not really living it. Then when tryouts hit or lineups lock in, the excuses start rolling. But the truth? The game don't lie. Effort always shows.

Too many players and parents live on excuses. Missed cage sessions become missed opportunities. Skip a workout here, blame the coach there—it all adds up fast. Meanwhile, someone else is grinding in silence, taking your spot while you're arguing about playing time. The game doesn't care about your feelings. It rewards work, not words.

Real ballplayers don't need babysitting or motivation speeches. They take the off-season deadly serious because they know it separates everyday players from impact players. If you're not where you want to be, check your work ethic before you blame the coach. ⚾💯
