The January issue of Loggers World and Log Trucker Magazine has been printed and mailed. In Loggers World we feature Green Contract Cutting of North Bend, OR and the Vernonia Pioneer Museum in Vernonia, OR. A long time cutter, Craig Green learned cutting at age 13, instructed by his father. The Vernonia Pioneer Museum is housed in the former business office of the Oregon American Mill in Vernonia, Or. It's a worthy trip just to see their large scale wooden spar logging diorama. In Log Trucker we feature the trucks of Jake Thompson's 808 Logging Company in Sandpoint, Idaho. This 23-year-old log truck owner operator had zero background in the logging industry before getting into it but has negotiated the steep learning curve to become his own boss.

The December issue of Loggers World and Log Trucker Magazine has been printed and mailed. In Loggers World we feature 7 Arrows Logging from White Swan, WA. The company he was hauling for needed more loggers and they asked him to consider logging for them. You'll find the rest of the story in the December issue. In Log Trucker we feature Bassett Timber of Monroe, OR. Owner Jesse Bassett currently runs 2 trucks and enjoys the challenges and rewards of being the owner and decision maker in his company.

The August issue of Loggers World/Log Trucker Magazine has been printed and mailed. In Loggers World we traveled to Afognak Island, Alaska to cover the remote logging camp operations of SE Alaska Logging Co. SEAL Co. not only runs 2 logging sides, log trucking and a remote camp operation but also covers the shipping to overseas markets, and everything in between. It's been over 20 years since Loggers World covered a logging camp in Alaska and we think you'll find it interesting. In Log Trucker we feature Lawrence L. Gibbons Jr. LLC in Canyonville, OR. He has been trucking for years but finally made the leap to Owner/Operator last year. He and his wife Toni bought a 2020 W900L KW and have been keeping it busy.

The July issue of Loggers World/Log Trucker Magazine has been printed and was mailed 7/1/22. In Loggers World we feature Olympic Timber & Excavation from Elma, WA. Owners Tom and Jill Carter run this small multi-talented operation and were logging on a tree farm near Elma, WA when we caught up with them. Jill grew up around loggers and logging since her dad, David Pearsall ran the Olympia log yard for many years and Jill was part of the crew. In Log Trucker we feature Aaron Wise Trucking from Glide, OR. Aaron has started small but with hard work has grown his company to include his 2010 KW W900B Log Truck and his restored 1968 Autocar dump truck.

The May issue of Loggers World and Log Trucker Magazine is printed and mailed out. In Loggers World we feature Krogh Logging and Excavation, out of Newport, WA. Austin Krogh is a young guy that knew early on he wanted to work for himself. By age 21, Austin and his brother Dylan had started the logging company that now has 5 employees, 3 processors and 3 skidders. Dylan passed away last year so Austin now runs both the logging and ranching operations. In Log Trucker we feature a very interesting log trucker, Steve Smith of Florence MT. We aren't sure if we should call him a log trucker that also has a helicopter business or if he's a helicopter business owner/pilot that is also a log trucker. Either way, it's an interesting story and proof that if you work hard, you can still follow your dreams and be successful.
