Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has debunked a TikTok video claiming Travis Decker was taken into custody after a standoff, reiterating that the interagency search effort for the triple homicide suspect remains ongoing.

Law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals and U.S. Border Patrol, are shifting tactics in the search for Travis Decker, wanted in the deaths of his three daughters near Rock Island Campground.

Decker, 32, is believed to be hiding in rugged terrain. A recent tip from hikers in the Enchantments led to tracking efforts near Colchuck Lake and Ingalls Creek Trailhead. Officials say they're “closing in” as new evidence surfaces.

Decker is considered dangerous. If seen, do not approach — call 911 immediately.

Authorities say they have tracked a subject believed to be Travis Decker into the Blewett Pass/ Highway 97 area. Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said it recently received a tip from a hiking party who spotted a lone hiker in the Enchantments area. The party said they spotted someone “who appeared to be ill prepared for trail and weather conditions, and appeared to be avoiding others.”

Search teams immediately responded to the tip, also spotting a lone, off trail hiker from a helicopter near Colchuck Lake, who ran from sight as the helicopter passed.
