💥💥 TONIGHT! 💥💥
We have the Honor of seeing a band that completely added a whole new world into my already mixed up music mind, WANG CHUNG was first heard at my friends house across the street, 1980-Something on iconic boston radio WBCN. Being a heavy metal fan and a rock n roller I thought i was set on what I needed, Then,
LETS GO played. We instantly loved it, sang it while riding our bikes, used it in sentences everyday & said it to get a point across. Anyone who knows me knows my famous lines
“Wang Chung was my first ever tape!”
To this day in my almost mid 40s, heavy metal radio host, a MUCH older kid then my previous self, I still see these guys as icons and the band that opened up a whole new genre that i still love.
Now, to have social media, Youtube, Texting, digital music, its a lot easier to keep up to date with things, I still try and use an old school method, but having this band Follow me on socials…you would have thought i hit the jackpot. To actually interact in anyway shape or form was unheard of and something i Never thought was in a world possible, Now tonight…I get to check them out live with the legends, English Beat, Modern English and Howard Jones.
The kicker to this…We are also getting a chance to sneak backstage and actually meet Jack and Nick.
The 80s kid in me cannot believe how full circle this is and that The once band we waited for to come on air I finally get to see live.
Thanks in advance to the whole Wang Chung camp for allowing us the honor of being backstage before they go on stage and for taking even a minute of their extremely important time and schedule.
And as the president of The TakeOver worldwide, I just want to make it clear…
WANG CHUNG IS FU*KING METAL!!

ANOTHER legend has gone. ZZ TOP legendary drummer and original member has passed away at 77.
We were lucky enough to see the
Tres Hombres opening up for Cheap Trick back before covid. I will always say it was one of the best shows and sounds ive ever heard live!!

Frank Beard is one of the greatest drummers to play and never gets the high praise as he should have! His style, his rhythm, his genre of playing is something that can only be duplicated, never topped.
With the late great Dusty to his Right and Billy Gibbons to his left, he made sure the tempo and backing were perfect to lead the punch of one of the most iconic sounds of a band in music history. Like others…you know when ZZ TOP is on!

So follow my lead this week…honor this legendary drummer and play some Mother F’n ZZ TOP LOUDLY!!! Ill be sure to have them lined up for the show!

While at a little local neighborhood day at Solution Brewing and this band called HIGHBALL was playing. Local, talented, respectful and GOOD! They are up and coming and will make some serious waves in the music scene.
I was honored to intro them today as they prepared to kick ass and entertain!
