Flock cameras being deactivated in Grafton
Grafton Police Chief Neil Minardi issued a brief statement on social media on Friday, August 21 stating that the town of Grafton had begun the process of de-activating the town’s 12 Flock devices “amid growing concerns about the use of this technology in our community.”
Minardi had been fielding questions in recent weeks amidst those concerns and told the Grafton News last week that he was finding the answers to the community’s questions and had planned a community meeting to answer them. No date for the meeting had been set when the decision to de-activate the cameras was made.
