Sunday’s should be a day of rest but also a day to clean and prep your makeup brushes for the week.

No one didn’t prepare me for this….
I came home after my trip with a very rough cold/flu.
My throat was feeling funny leaving but I just thought I was loosing my voice but now that I’m home…. I feel awful! 🤧🤒🥴🥱🫠🫠🫠
Is this normal or is it just me?
I am narrowing it down to sahm problems! 😂
I don’t expose myself out in public like that?! 🫠🫠

I feel so bad because I am home but I’m not here as my normal self. I can’t kiss my babies and my hubby. 😭😭😭

I went to my very first in person conference and I wasn’t going to go because I was afraid to leave my family and our finances were in a bind BUT God makes a way ALL THE TIME and he provides! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I am so happy that I didn’t let my fear take my joy away and hold me back from experiencing the most BEAUTIFUL, FULFILLING and FUN time, I haven’t experienced in such a long time! If you’re familiar with church camp as a youth… this is the same! 🙏🏻
The only thing that was missing was an alter call! 😂

I am here to encourage anyone who has a yearning to do anything like this, whether it’s self motivation conferences, your own network company’s, anything of this matter…..Just do it!!!

I love my children’s pediatrician Dr. Latonya Russel in Sentara Edinburgh! She takes care of my kids as if they are her own. ❤️

When his ear drum bursted, she had an opening the following day! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

If I would’ve taken him to urgent care, they probably wouldn’t have taken the proper labs and diagnosed him with Kawasaki disease. They probably would’ve sent him home with antibiotics for the ear infection and say the fever was because of his ear.

I just have to say that ⬇️⬇️⬇️

God works in mysterious ways and works on your behalf. ❤️

I am so grateful for my doctors intuition to do further lab work because of his unexplained fever lasting for 2 weeks.
She pulled some strings and got us admitted to CHKD Norfolk hospital and checked up on us just to make sure he was being taken care of! ❤️

I have to say our stay here was amazing, besides the fact he had to get poked and forced with medicine but the staff was very welcoming and they tried their best to make Micah feel very comfortable.

Even though we made the best out of our circumstances here… we are ready to go home!

God is Amazing and he is continuing to bless and heal this precious boy! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

This morning the specialist all decided that he is ready to GO HOME TODAY!! 🎉🎉🎉

Even though his platelets are still extremely high but it’s expected to trend down slowly.

Hence why he will be on steroids for the next 15 days for his inflammation.
Amoxicillin for the next 6 days.
Baby aspirin until cardiologist says when to stop.
Pepcid for his upset stomach when taking his tapered steroids.

But we’re going home baby!!!

4 days and 3 nights in a hospital room is ok but it ain’t no 5 star Hilton! 🤣

This momma needs a shower, a glass of wine, and some good sleep in her own bed!

We are ready to be whole again!!! ❤️❤️❤️

My child’s pediatrician left 2 voicemails regarding my baby boys lab work. She sounded worried herself and gives her personal cell to call back…..

I froze and was scared of Micah’s results. I was scared of hearing some devastating news that no parent ever wants to hear!

Your sons lab work came back and his body is fighting something really bad and you need to take him to the ER. They are expecting you!

Backstory…..

Micah has been sick for two weeks with an ongoing fever that was maintained with medication. At the 2 week mark I was ready to call his doctor and set an appointment but things got worse. He woke up that morning with fluid coming out of his ear! He never complained about his ears and I had no idea he had an ear infection in which caused his ear drum to burst!

Lab results came back that day with his white blood count super high, hemoglobin low, and inflammation markers were off the charts! Meaning his body/organs were inflaming to protect itself from whatever is attacking it. His poor little body was over working itself that it didn’t know how to come down from it.

No infections, virus or bacteria were found so they narrowed it to MIS in children. (Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children) Typically a child gets this if they have been exposed to COVID recently. In his case he wasn’t. So the next thing that cause similar symptoms is Kawasaki Disease.
A very rare but curable disease if caught early.
This disease can cause cardiac aneurysms so they needed to make sure his heart was ok. 😢

Took a chest X-ray, ekg and an echo and all results came back normal. 🙏🏻

When you hear the news that your child is in this condition, you always think the worst! Not going to lie…. Cancer came to my mind. 💔Why would my child have a fever for two weeks if he wasn’t fighting something like cancer?!

But thankfully it’s not! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We have been through so much trauma as a family with two losses and our hearts are not ready for another! I broke and was scared! I can’t lose my baby.
God why?
Why my baby?
Why now? ……

But my God is bigger than the issue and I know HE can do all things if you call upon his name and plead the BLOOD of Jesus Christ over your prayers!!!

I prayed for my baby boy and I pleaded with God and claimed my sons healing in Jesus name!

I’m a mother but I am also a daughter of a powerful God who blesses his children. I have complete faith in HIM and I know HE will pull Micah through this. 🙏🏻

We have been in the Children’s Hospital since March 10th and hopefully leaving soon! We shall see…
As long as he is safe to come home, that’s all that matters.

He has been such a brave little fighter but he is slowly coming to his wits end and wants to give up and be home already! He misses his family dearly and always says I love you Bradley. I love you Peyton. I love you Maliyah. I Love you Daddy. 🥹

So please continue to pray for him and our family.
