The Upper Main Line Y squashes pickleball as it prepares its defense against neighbors' lawsuit over noise. We read their suit and talked to the crusading attorney who filed it. Both the Y and Easttown Township are defendants.

Here’s a use for an old Rite Aid we didn’t see coming: a Ritz Carlton for dogs. When it opens around Labor Day, K9 Resorts Pet Hotel and doggie daycare near the Devon Square Acme will span nearly 15,000 sq. feet (inside and out) and accommodate more than 100 dogs.

Fantastic fundraiser for Main Line School Night with MSNBC’s chief correspondent and host Ali Velshi in conversation with Philly’s own legendary broadcaster Pat Ciarrocchi.

The full house hung on their every word about the state of our nation, the role of the media and the small acts we can all perform to speak truth to power and serve America. As an MLSN board member, I was honored to welcome these two to the stage.

HER FINAL GAMBLE pays of!!!

A swarm of neighbors and pals from Aronimink, Radnor schools and book club turned out for the launch of Bryn Mawr mom Mary V. Slinkard’s debut novel, Her Final Gamble.

Set in the Philly burbs and Stone Harbor, it’s an intriguing murder mystery about the secrets of a high-society family.

Like Slinkard, the protagonist is an attorney who gets her superpower from high heels. Also like Slinkard, she has epilepsy. A portion of book sales will go to the local chapter of the Epilepsy Foundation.

Already optioned for a movie, Her Final Gamble won’t be Slinkard’s last. She’s already planning a sequel.

A tad saddlesore and jetlagged but exhilarated after a 12-day SAVVYbatical in Spain and Cambridge with my daughter, Kara.

We cycled 165 miles (but who’s counting!) across Andalusia, slept in a former monastery and a castle, cooked migas as we sipped sangria, toured the iconic mosque-cathedral of Cordoba and the Alhambra of Granada, and marveled at an Andalusian horse show and flamenco dancing in a cave.

In Cambridge, we visited my college roommate and toured her 31-college (!) town, went punting on the River Cam, passing under the Magdalene Bridge that gave Cam-bridge its name.

Heartfelt thanks to Bonnie () and Tim for their hospitality and to Kara for a pre-Mother’s Day adventure I’ll never forget! ❤️
