Almost back to Maryland. We were not succesful in harvesting a deer in Maine but we sure had a good time. There is nothing like hunting in the big woods. Im sure we will be back in the future and may have a little more luck. We saw a decent amount of deer for Maine standards but nothing quite worked out. I hear things are picking up in Maryland. The cameras should have some pictures! Ill let you all know what I find.

Maine has been and always will be a beast. Saw two tonight then got dumped on for the mile walk out. We managed to keep the camera gear dry but thats about it... Oh and didn see a thing in the morning. Tomorrow morning on the other hand is going to be a differnt story...

We are two days into our Maine hunt. These have been some tough days with lots of miles covered. So far we have had good luck by Maine standards. Seen 9 this morning including two small bucks and 6 does tonight. The first day we didnt see much. We have narrowed down a few dozen previous stand sites to about 4 that we think will be most productive. They next few days will be the test.

Heading to Maine this sunday. Going to chase some illusive whitetails for a week. Cant wait to get back into some of my old spots.
