Audio mix and mastering for Fender Play's guitar lesson of one of my all time favorite songs!

The priority for all lessons is ensuring that the instructor is easy for students to follow but that the instrument is also strong and present.

For my work on all of the Fender lessons I created a preset in FabFilter's ProMB that dynamically adjusts the instrument bus to "duck" certain dialogue frequencies. This helps the dialogue stay present during musical demonstrations.

Since audio projects are listened to on a wide variety of listening systems (headphones, airpods, cellphones, tablets, laptops and televisions) I monitor on three different sets of speakers and I have created a custom mix translation system with Slate VSX, Acustica Audio Sienna and Sound ID that allows me to easily check what my mixes will sound like on airpods, cellphones, laptops, movie theaters and many other playback systems and listening environments. This way I can make sure that my mixes and masters translate well for different audiences.
