I’ve owned Ford F150 Raptors… a Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison… Ram 2500… and none of them compare to this 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro. The Toyota may have been the slowest and perhaps the worst “performing” truck out of the group, but its appeal extends beyond the spec sheet. It’s a raw, visceral feeling truck that just feels “right”… no other way to out it. It feels like a truck should. It’d be pretty cool if brought back this glorious 5.7L V8 and put it in the current gen Tundra. Would you buy a 2027 Tundra or Sequoia if it came with this engine?

It’s October 2020… you rollup on a Toyota dealership that just received a late 2020 Tundra TRD Pro in Army Green. You’re frustrated at the bogus $1,800 paint protection package being added to the $54,495 MSRP and decide to walk. Fast forward to 2026, the same exact truck with 40K miles is considered a bargain at $54K. Smh…
