It's a great day for two times two this weekend. It's opening day at Powers Field Saturday for the Post 6 Sixers as they host the Rock Springs Stallions for an afternoon twin bill at 2PM and 4PM. And the Sixers will follow that up with a double dip Sunday afternoon also at 2PM and 4PM, as they host the Laramie Rangers. Well Black Hills Energy could not fulfill my request to restore power at my transmitter site until later tonight, so once again high school hoops with The Cheyenne Central Lady Indians taking on the Green River Lady Wolves and the East Lady T-Birds v. The Thunder Basin Lady Bolts contests will be web streamed only on www.1480krae.com. Reece Monaco will be courtside again for all his exciting calls beginning at 3:30PM with Central and the East contest will follow right after that from the Ford Wyoming Center.

As of this note, we're halfway there. Just waiting on Black Hills Energy to get the power restored to our transmitter site. So with that being said, our first game from the State 4A tournament, day 2 action, will feature a loser out contest featuring The Cheyenne Indians taking on the Green River Wolves at the Ford Wyoming Center at 12noon. Due to the city wide power outage, we were knocked off the air. We still remain silent on KRAE but our sister KYOY-FM will step up at 5PM to bring you the East/Casper Natrona game with Reece Monaco calling the game. Join us on 106.9FM locally for his calls. Also in the county at 92.3FM and on the web at kyoy.net. Thank you to Black Hills Energy for their expedited work on this miserable windy day. I know we're not out of the woods yet, but let's keep our fingers crossed.

Join AM 1480 KRAE this Thursday for a trifecta of basketball action during day one of the State 4A tournament. Thursday's action will be at Swede Erickson Gymnasium on the campus of Casper College and will feature these games. Game one: The Central Lady Indians will square with the Evanston Lady Red Devils at 9AM. Game two: will be boys action as the Central Indians battle the Star Valley Braves at 12Noon. And game 3: our nightcap, has the East Lady Thunderbirds matching up with the Casper-Natrona Fillies at 5PM. It's a basketball trifecta for the opening round of the EWAC Regional Tournament this Thursday live from Campbell County High School. Win and your in for a trip to the State 4A championship next week in Casper. On tap this Thursday the Central girls and boys in back to back action take on the South Bison girls and boys. The girls tip-off at 11:30AM with the boys game to follow at 1:30PM. And the nightcap features the East Thunderbirds boys team taking the host Campbell County Camels at 7:30PM. The East Lady T-Birds draw a day one bye and have already qualified for the state tournament. Once again our apology for KRAE being silenced due to an outside technical issue. We are hoping, fingers crossed, sometime late this afternoon to be back up and running.
