It's a great day for two times two this weekend. It's opening day at Powers Field Saturday for the Post 6 Sixers as they host the Rock Springs Stallions for an afternoon twin bill at 2PM and 4PM. And the Sixers will follow that up with a double dip Sunday afternoon also at 2PM and 4PM, as they host the Laramie Rangers. Championship Saturday live from the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper. Game 1 will feature the Central Indians against the Casper Kelly Walsh Trojans for the consolation championship. Tap time is slated for 12Noon. As of this note, and due to the incompetence of BHE, this game will be broadcast on our web stream at www.1480krae.com. The "Voice" of high school sports Reece Monaco will be courtside to bring us his words eye view. Later today for the State 4A championship, it will be the Central Lady Indians, the defending state champions, taking on the Cheyenne Lady T-Birds in a capital city showdown. We'll keep you up-dated on that status for our broadcast.

I've tried to be positive about the thankless work that Black Hills Energy has done to restore power city wide. But, I am so disappointed after a half dozen calls to their Rapid City, SD. main office since you can't talk to anyone in Cheyenne anymore. that they can't get one little parcel of power restored. What the hell! They got the whole area of SW Drive lit but my building with my radio tower shared by another radio station can't be serviced. The building is owned by Laramie County. I guess that doesn't mean squat either. Work orders have been placed and estimated times given and it seems we're going backwards. It amazing how the years have passed by and things are not better with them. We always had a contact to talk to, we knew actual linemen and management who would do their best to help out in our situation. They knew the importance of getting our power restored because radio has a presence here in Cheyenne. But, those days are over. Thank goodness we're able to web stream via the internet at our other building. Local v. Corporate. I vote Local, always!

Well Black Hills Energy could not fulfill my request to restore power at my transmitter site until later tonight, so once again high school hoops with The Cheyenne Central Lady Indians taking on the Green River Lady Wolves and the East Lady T-Birds v. The Thunder Basin Lady Bolts contests will be web streamed only on www.1480krae.com. Reece Monaco will be courtside again for all his exciting calls beginning at 3:30PM with Central and the East contest will follow right after that from the Ford Wyoming Center.

As of this note, we're halfway there. Just waiting on Black Hills Energy to get the power restored to our transmitter site. So with that being said, our first game from the State 4A tournament, day 2 action, will feature a loser out contest featuring The Cheyenne Indians taking on the Green River Wolves at the Ford Wyoming Center at 12noon. The "Voice" of high school sports Reece Monaco will be courtside for his words eye view of all the exciting action. Hear all his calls today on our website at www.1480krae.com. Due to the city wide power outage, we were knocked off the air. We still remain silent on KRAE but our sister KYOY-FM will step up at 5PM to bring you the East/Casper Natrona game with Reece Monaco calling the game. Join us on 106.9FM locally for his calls.
