Our dear Heavenly Father, when we are overwhelmed, confused, unsure, and restless, may your Word come alive to guide us in every situation.

Lord, may we remember your promises, when we feel depressed. Help us remember that there is nothing above you; and that you are just a call away. Surround us with your light of protection and provision as we start the day. We pray with thanksgiving in our hearts, Amen 🙏

Three die in fatal road traffic accident in Chipili!

Three people have died following a road traffic accident that occurred yesterday around 16:00 hours at Luchinka Village in Chief Mutipula’s area along the Mansa–Luwingu road in Chipili District.

The accident involved a Zhong Tong bus registration number ASB 2374 belonging to P. Mwansa Bus Services. Police say the bus first struck a parked Toyota Corolla, fatally hitting its driver who was outside the vehicle, before losing control and ramming into a HOWO truck loaded with maize.

The collision left the truck’s tailgate and trailer light damaged.

One passenger aboard the bus also died on the spot, bringing the initial death toll to two with several others sustained serious injuries.

Mansa General Hospital has confirmed receiving 18victims from the accident out of which two were bought in dead.

Mansa general hospital authorities have since confirmed that one of the critically injured patients died today around 14:00 hours, raising the death toll to three.
