A record breaking year ✨
Last night, the Young Leadership Committee of BT1D Illinois, held our annual One Party to raise money to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, and thanks to everyone’s incredible support we raised of $115K and counting!
I’ve been a member of this incredible organization for over 5 years and West Loop Soul was proud to be a sponsor once again.
To experience this record-breaking evening for us was truly unbelievable.
My husband, Bestfoodalex, had T1D for over 20 years and in 2019, due to kidney failure caused by diabetes, he received a double organ transplant. While he’s no longer diabetic thanks to the pancreas he received, he still lives with complications of his diabetes and side effects of that transplant every single day.
Supporting BT1D Illinois means helping to create a world where no one else has to go through the obstacles, complications, and medical turmoil he’s had to endure.
