still dreaming of the incredible tiki experience we had at in Chicago 🍹 This place is a VIBE & it’s no wonder they’re consistently recognized as one of the best. We are huge fans of tiki so we ended up here twice in one week 😅

We dove into their cocktail menu, ordering many rounds 😅 and every sip was like a tropical paradise. A few standouts included:
* The Jet Pilot 🛩️ Aged Jamaican and Overproof Rum, Lime, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Falernum, Absinthe, Bitters
* Three Dots and a Dash (their namesake!) •••— Aged Martinique Rhum Agricole, Aged Guyana Rum, Lime, Orange, Falernum, Allspice
* Zombie For Two 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️ Aged Jamaican and St. Lucia Rum, Overproof Rum, Lime, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Falernum

It’s easy to see why Three Dots and a Dash has earned a spot on North America’s 50 Best Bars list multiple times, and why they’re a consistent nominee and winner at prestigious events like the Spirited Awards at . Their dedication to craft, atmosphere, and phenomenal drinks truly set them apart from the rest 🏆

If you’re in Chicago and looking for an unforgettable cocktail experience, put Three Dots and a Dash at the top of your list! I highly recommend making a reservation and checking out the if you can get a reservation 🤫

First time in Chicago seemed like the perfect time to try my first Chicago Dog 🌭 and where better than a ballpark, or two? 🏟️

Ok I think I ate 3 Chicago Dogs on my weeklong trip… but when in Rome, right? I loooove pickles and onions, so I knew from the jump that I’d love these. For those who don’t know (I didn’t know until this week), a Chicago-style hot dog is a Vienna beef dog in a steamed poppyseed bun served with tomatoes, yellow mustard, white onion, a dill pickle spear, sport peppers, and neon green sweet relish, sprinkled with a little bit of celery salt on top. Because you can’t have too much sodium. & Absolutely no ketchup. Seriously, I think you might get kicked out of the city if you ask for ketchup on your Chicago dog. You’ll at least get heckled a little.

One thing that shocked me when I ordered my first one is that the relish they use is NEON green. 🧪Apparently they add blue food coloring to the relish, but why? Google says it started for marketing purposes and stayed that way. It reminded me of the river on St. Patrick’s Day… just a little unsettling 😂 didn’t stop me from eating three though lol

recently celebrated their 1️⃣ year anniversary so we joined them to celebrate with a delicious meal on the patio at golden hour 🍣☀️

We are big fans of Sushi Roku and are so glad they’re in Palo Alto at ! As soon as I found out about their anniversary celebration, I made my reservation (weeks in advance lol), and I’m glad I did because I overheard the hostess saying they were on a 2+ hour wait for the night! 🫨

We went all out and ordered various cocktails, mocktails, our favorite go-to dishes, and tried some new things too 🥢

Here’s what I recommend ordering:
⚡️ Spicy Tuna Hanabi! I love crispy rice and could literally eat 10 of these things. They are always being ordered when we come here.
⚡️ Brussels Sprout Chips! These are CRISPY and the perfect app to pair with a cocktail before your main course. We love these so much and also order them every time 😅
⚡️ Wagyu Skewers! They’re $15 a piece, but hear me out… They’re worth it. Very juicy and well seasoned.
⚡️ Hamachi Serrano! Variations of this dish are staples at many sushi restaurants and Sushi Roku does it well. I could drink that yuzu ponzu sauce!
⚡️ Matcha Miruku Sour! I don’t drink so can’t personally attest, but my husband loved this cocktail so much that he ordered 2, then tried to recreate it at home the next week 😂 it has pendleton whisky, pineapple, coconut,
matcha, and is topped with an ube foam that he loved 🍵

Here’s to one year and I am already looking forward to celebrating #2! 😍

One thing about me is that whenever we’re at , we will be ordering the Monkey-Do Cakes 🙂‍↕️

Buttermilk pancakes + caramelized bananas and pecans = best breakfast! They’re so good, we’ll usually order them for the table and everyone is obsessed 🥞🍌

Wave Street Cafe is one of our favorite breakfast/brunch spots close to the Aquarium with a nice patio and view of the Bay! We’ve tried a handful of dishes and have never been disappointed. They’re often busy, so we’ll put our name down and walk around Cannery Row until our table is ready. It’s always worth the wait though!

One of our favorite places for brunch in Monterey is hands-down 🥞

We only get to visit Monterey a few times a year, so I always want to see & do as much as possible. If you know me, you know that trying new restaurants is always at the top of my list of things to-do, but we keep finding ourselves returning to Wave Street Cafe. Good food and view of the water? Say less 🙂‍↕️

I’ve tried a handful of menu items at this point, and I have never been let down. The Monkey-Do Cakes are served with caramelized banana & pecans and are a favorite of ours. They are so. good.

They don’t accept reservations here, so I highly recommend hopping on their waitlist (and requesting a table outside!) and taking a stroll along Cannery Row while you wait
