I've been hearing great feedback from the people taking my sourdough course lately, and it's been so helpful to hear their questions and learn where they could use a little more guidance. 🌾

One thing that's come up is...what happens after you make that first loaf? You have this beautiful starter you've worked so hard to create—now what do you do with it? 😊

I included a Starter Care Guide with the course, but after hearing some of the questions people had, I realized I wanted to share a little more.

So this week I made a new video all about caring for your starter long-term—how I feed mine, when I put it in the refrigerator, and what I do when I'm ready to bake again.

And honestly, this is exactly why I wanted to create the course in the first place. There is SO much information about sourdough out there, and it can get overwhelming really quickly.

I wanted to create something that just walks you through it. One step at a time. No need to know everything before you begin.

If you've been thinking about trying sourdough but aren't quite sure where to start, you can take a look at the course here. 🍞

🍞 It's here!

A little while ago, I shared that I'd been working on something special behind the scenes.

Today, I'm excited to officially open enrollment for Sourdough — From Starter to Your First Loaf.

This course was inspired by so many of your comments, questions, and stories over the years. Many of you have told me you'd love to try sourdough but aren't sure where to begin—or you've tried before and felt overwhelmed.

So I created a simple, beginner-friendly course that walks you through creating your starter and baking your very first loaf, one step at a time.

I've poured a lot of love into this project, and I hope it helps make sourdough feel simple, doable, and fun. 💛

I can't wait to see what you create. 🌾🍞

💛✨✨✨💛
I'm so excited to finally share something I've been working on for the past several months.

Many of you have told me that you'd love to try sourdough but aren't sure where to begin. Others have shared that you've tried before and felt overwhelmed by all the information out there.

As I've been creating this course, I've thought often about your comments, questions, and experiences.

My goal was to create something simple, encouraging, and beginner-friendly—a step-by-step course that walks you through creating your starter and baking your very first loaf of sourdough.

I've poured a lot of love into this project and truly hope it helps make sourdough feel a little less intimidating and a lot more doable. 💕

🍯🥪 Today’s bake: Whole Wheat & Honey Sandwich Bread 🍞

I milled organic hard white & red wheat berries in my Wondermill and let my Ankarsrum do the mixing for a batch of three loaves — one for this week and two for the freezer.

The loaves are cooling now, filling the house with the warm, nutty aroma of fresh-milled wheat and honey. We’ve truly missed this one — it’s a family favorite! Soft, golden slices with just a touch of sweetness… perfect for sandwiches or simply warm with butter. 🥰

Fresh air, a campfire, and warm sourdough naan… what more could you ask for? 🌿🔥

This weekend we brought my homemade naan bread camping, and my husband and I cooked dinner for everyone. Watching our friends gather around, devouring it together was pure joy. 🥰

That’s the magic of sourdough for me — it’s not just bread, it’s memories we get to create and share.

If you’d like to try making your own sourdough naan, I just shared a step-by-step tutorial on YouTube — it’s simple, delicious, and the perfect way to do something new with your starter. 🥖✨
