Scammers posing as Higher Education Commission (HEC) or PMDC/PEC officials are targeting people on WhatsApp. They claim they need to verify your degree and ask for a code. If you share this code, your WhatsApp account gets hacked and is then used to trick your contacts into sending money.
Do not share verification codes with anyone;

Report suspicious messages or calls to the FIA Cyber Crime Wing;
Enable Two-Factor Authentication on WhatsApp for extra security.
