Why You Shouldn’t Rely Only on Physical Fitness Goals.. 🤭

Let’s be real.. most of us started going to the gym not because of how it makes us feel, but because of how it can change the way we look. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having aesthetic goals! But if they’re the only thing driving you, staying consistent will be tough 😫.

Here’s why I train beyond just the physical:

✨ It makes me feel strong and empowered.
Lifting weights reminds me of what I’m capable of, both inside and outside the gym.
✨ It builds discipline.
Showing up, even when I don’t feel like it, proves to me that I can do hard things.
✨ It improves my overall fitness.
Strength, endurance, and mobility all matter more than just looks.
✨ It boosts my mood.
Without the gym, I’d be way more irritable. Movement keeps my mind clear and my energy high.
✨ It increases my energy levels.
Training makes me feel less sluggish and a lot more productive! Movement is medicine.

Again, aesthetic goals are absolutely okay to have! but don’t let them be your only reason to show up. If your motivation depends on only physical changes, you might feel very discouraged when you are not progressing as fast as you feel you should 🫶🏼. Build a mindset that keeps you going even when progress isn’t visible 🥹✨.

Change Your Mindset.

Honestly, I feel like my mindset has completely shifted since the start of this year. I’ve learned to talk myself into doing things more and always add a touch of positivity✨. Whilst I’m on a run or doing cardio and start feeling uncomfortable, I remind myself: This is just a tiny part of my day..I can push through it. I hype myself up with thoughts like “I’m having so much fun,” fully committing to the delusion 😂. And honestly? It works.
The way you speak to yourself shapes your mindset, your actions, and ultimately, your results. So Instead of saying “This is hard, I want to stop,” try “This is a challenge, but I’m strong enough to push through.”
If you constantly tell yourself you’re tired, unmotivated, or not good enough, you’ll start to believe it 🥹. But when you shift that narrative and you remind yourself that you can push through, that you are capable, that discomfort is temporary… you will start to see real change 🤍.
