Somewhere right now, a producer is on their fifth take wondering why it still doesn't sound right.
The problem usually isn't the talent. It's the specs.
A few things I wish more clients knew:
→ "Warm. Friendly. Professional." means something different to every voice actor who reads it — and you pay for that ambiguity in revision rounds, not in the audition inbox.
→ A one-sentence brand feel beats a paragraph of adjectives every time.
→ "What this is NOT" is often more useful than "what this IS."
→ Any reference — a spot, a celebrity voice, even "somewhere between these two" — gives the talent a compass. A compass beats a blank page.
