Today, on Giving Tuesday (or ), we want to make one thing clear:
At Reparations Media, we care – deeply. We care about you, our community of readers, listeners, and collaborators. We care about the trust you place in our story telling and the impact we have on Chicago and across the Midwest. These are the very reasons we exist.
“Reparations” means making amends for wrongs and injustices. At Reparations Media, we use the power of storytelling to change harmful narratives into ones rooted in equity and inclusion. Through documentaries, podcasts, workshops and more, we partner with the community to amplify the voices of people of color and those in marginalized communities – telling stories of resilience, hope and transformation.
These stories don’t just inform; they inspire action, promote understanding, and spark systemic change. They make amends for past wrongs and create pathways to a more just future.
