ARTIST FEATURE 🧪 MEKINGTON
Mekington, a Chicago native, has lived & breathed music all their life. Born in the 90s, Mekington had their first taste of DJing & music production by watching their older brother produce his own music. At the age of 10, Mekington started playing around with music production on FruityLoops & ever since has had an itch to create their own sound & style of music. “2024 will be a big break out year” Mekington says with 7 New Original songs coming out in 2024 with their first release “ We Never Choose” available on all platforms as of on Feb 20th 2024!
Mekington describes her style as a mix of Deep house mixed with Brazilian Tech, & Bass House, having a love for mixing dark, deep, & lush low end tones in their work. Mekington has been DJing since 2019, making their first official debut at SpyBar in Chicago December 2019! Since Mekington has played venues like House of Blues Chicago, SpyBar, Soundbar, Fame & Mars Bar San Francisco, & has also played North Coast Music Festival & Electric Forest! This year is already lining up with incredible opportunities for the young upcoming producer.
