Abstinence is a different kind of strength.
Let’s be real—sex is everywhere in our culture. Music, movies, social media… it’s often presented as casual, almost like it doesn’t carry weight.
But here’s the truth: choosing abstinence, whether you’re a virgin or not, isn’t weakness—it’s power.
💡 It’s power to focus on your goals without distraction.
💡 It’s strength to build self-control in a world that constantly tests it.
💡 It’s clarity to know that intimacy isn’t just physical—it’s emotional, spiritual, and life-shaping.
There’s nothing shameful about waiting. In fact, sometimes the boldest move is to step back, reset, and realign before moving forward.
In this powerful conversation, Dr. Boyce Watkins sits down with Eric to explore what it really means to be pro-Black—beyond slogans and surface-level gestures.
Eric shares how his journey began in Greater Englewood, Chicago, where a chance introduction to grassroots organizing led him to become the first executive director and board president of the Greater Englewood CDC.
With more than a decade of experience building social enterprises, Eric unpacks how identity, sacrifice, and investment shape the future of Black communities.
Together, they explore:
The evolving definition of pro-Black and why it must be rooted in action, not just aesthetics.
Why family is a business, and how professional development for children is essential for wealth transfer.
Lessons from Shannon Sharpe’s $50M lawsuit and what it reveals about misplaced investments.
The connection between legacy planning, sacrifice, and true generational wealth.
How options trading and income strategies can empower families to build sustainable financial futures.
Honest, challenging, and forward-looking—this episode is both a cultural reckoning and a financial blueprint for Black wealth and legacy.
Eric loves to go beneath the surface and dig into people’s mindset around money—because he knows money isn’t just numbers.
It’s identity, survival, power, and sometimes guilt.
In this episode, he sits down with Rozerrio Camel—senior software engineer at JP Morgan Chase, real estate equity raiser, and former Northrop Grumman engineer—to answer the question: What really happens after you hit six figures?
Rozerrio gets candid about the highs and lows of financial success, from early mistakes with credit cards and student loans to navigating layoffs, career pivots, and the lure of “trinkets” that come with a high salary.
Along the way, he shares the mindset shifts and discipline it takes to go from broke habits to building wealth.
Together, Eric and Rozerrio explore:
-Why six figures doesn’t guarantee financial security
-The difference between financial coaching and financial advising
-How to spot (and stop) self-sabotaging money behaviors
-Lessons from tech layoffs and the importance of financial resilience
-The path from employee to equity raiser in commercial real estate investor
🎙️ Honest, practical, and inspiring—this episode is a masterclass in money mindset and growth for anyone on the journey to financial freedom.
On this installment of MSG Presents: Characters From Corporate, a listener writes in about a coworker who never speaks back—despite her repeated attempts to be friendly. She’s a Black woman. He’s a Black man. And his silence is starting to get under her skin.
Eric and Big Stew weigh in: Is she overthinking it, or is he just being rude? They unpack office dynamics, the invisible weight of identity, and the unspoken social rules many Black professionals navigate daily.
This episode is a reminder that not every moment needs a response—but every feeling deserves reflection.
🎧 Tune in for a real conversation about perception, pride, and letting go.
Embracing your own culture doesn’t close you off from others—it opens the door wider.
When you know and honor where you come from, you’re better able to appreciate, respect, and connect with the stories, traditions, and values of other cultures.
We’re flooded with content—from TikToks to “news” articles to slick brand campaigns. But how often do we pause to ask:
- Who made this?
-What do they want me to believe or buy?
-How is this shaping my worldview—consciously or not?
Being media literate means recognizing bias, spotting manipulation, and thinking critically about the information we consume. It’s not just about “fake news”—it’s about protecting your mind, your money, and your mission.
In a world where algorithms are loud and truth is quiet, media literacy is power. 💥

Generation X is not being represented well in the media--especially Black Gen X. We decided to do something about that. About one year ago, Eric McLoyd came up with the initial concept for a show that would feature two black GenX’ers talking about topics that they cared about. He pitched the show to Scott Steward on an unrelated business call and he immediately became interested.
The Money S*x Gen X podcast was launched during the first few weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has become a match made in heaven as Mr.Eric McLoyd and Big Stew play off one another’s strengths during each episode.
It has already become clear that the two hosts “aint never scared” to dive into taboo topics or things usually talked about only behind closed doors--if at all. The show promises to be the everything you don’t see or hear in the mainstream media.
Represent the Gen X clique and join each Sunday at 11 am-ish to hear yourself represented. The guys will continue to show and prove that Gen X is far from dead and still have a lot left to offer the world.
And to the media, if you won’t represent us we will represent our goddamn selves!!
