Jiggy Bars
A groovy sound with a sometimes playful, yet smooth approach to melodic rap; Jiggybars’ music turns up, to move the youth. Honing his sound and recording some of his first projects in the basement of his college library, Jiggybars found his niche. With a self-described, musical style of mainstream hip hop, this rapper/ singer from Round Lake, IL began his musical journey in 2015.
His name, indicative of his animated personality, Jiggybars draws musical influence from artists like Tory Lanez, Drake, and Ty Dollar $ign. His mother often played gospel music, which reflects itself in Jiggybars low tones and willingness to explore the spectrum of his capabilities. This range is proven on BIG RACKS REMIX, the grittiest track off Jiggybars’ 2018, SoundCloud release, Chronicles of Jiggy. BIG RACKS REMIX proves that though at times playful and animated, Jiggybars has proven potential and is capable of more than just melodic rap, deserving of his March 2019, signing to Yudago Music Group.
Message From The Artist
“My story is about growth and evolution, really never had a lot of resources growing up…..being able to adapt, through perseverance, I’ve been able to grow. I want to bring positivity. Me graduating and not being afraid to chase my dreams…..I want to be a voice to those in similar situations, one of upheaval and overcoming.”
“”…never lack confidence” a line I wrote, that continues to resonate. Because I never had confidence. When I reconnected with my Dad’s side of the family and found my brothers, Allen and Isaiah, members of the Future Kingz, who appeared on AGT. That’s when my confidence grew. I built a bond with my brothers and built a connection and comfort in having a support system. College and football also grew my confidence.”
“…working with an array of producers helped grow my sound. I’ve worked with Lonrenzelle, who worked with Chance on 10 Days mixtape. Also, Will of Fifth Element and Kato on The Track, which worked on, “Deserve It”, available on all streaming services.”
“I have a history of struggle, in my family. I have an opportunity to use my platform as a voice, and an opportunity to get my family out, and use my voice for better.”
