Wright Way Rescue was my client years ago. Their story is truly remarkable, one that is self sacrificing in every capacity.
When I worked with them, they only had one location. The founder, Christy Anderson, started saving strays when she was a student at SIU. She couldn’t help herself and took in strays to her dorm room and worked to find them homes.
This turned into her life’s work, as she built the “Wright Way Rescue” to save as many animals as she could, at a cost, but nothing that she wasn’t willing to pay.

Wright-Way Rescue has been a pioneer in the field of animal welfare for over 19 years when we began rescuing homeless animals from underserved, rural areas and finding them loving forever homes.
The problem of pet overpopulation in Rural America is dire and virtually undocumented, and we believe that helping these remote communities is critical to the national No-Kill movement.
We work with over 100 rescue partners throughout the rural US to save well over 5,000 lives every year on approximately 10% of the budget of similarly sized organizations. We are committed to stretching every donated “dollar” as far as it can go.
