In this cross-sectional study, ectropion was evaluated and scored in patients with epidermal differentiation disorders (EDD), including lamellar ichthyosis (TGM1-nEDD) and harlequin ichthyosis (ABCA12-nEDD), using the Ectropion Severity Score (ESS).

The ESS demonstrated excellent reliability among six raters and confirmed that ectropion prevalence and severity are highest in TGM1-nEDD and ABCA12-nEDD, with additional high risk observed in PNPLA1 and SPINK5 genotypes.

These findings validate the ESS as a robust tool for assessing ectropion across EDD genotypes and support its use in future clinical monitoring and treatment response studies. https://ja.ma/4x38OsL

A network meta-analysis evaluated systemic pharmacological treatments for chronic plaque , synthesizing data from 160 randomized clinical trials with more than 57,000 adults.

Biologic therapies targeting interleukin-17 (IL17) and interleukin-23 (IL23) provided the highest likelihood of achieving Psoriasis Area and Severity Index 90 responses within the 8- to 24-week induction phase, compared to other systemic treatments.

Existing oral therapies had lower short-term efficacy but remain important options for patients preferring noninjectable regimens. Rates of serious adverse events were low and comparable to placebo, supporting the short-term safety profile of these agents. https://ja.ma/4dLyR02
