Yesterday after the mass, I went to the Priest and informed him that today being August 31st is my birthday. He was excited and offered prayers and blessed me.
One funny part of this was at the point he wanted to do sign of the cross as a catholic faithful, I thought he was about giving me "hi five" which I responded by giving him hi five too but only to realized he was giving his blessings. This formed part of my funny birthday moments.

I spent the past 7 weeks this summer working on an awesome project with the EcoNomix team at Benedictine University. It was such a fun and exciting experience! I learned about entrepreneurship, sustainability, product design, marketing, finance, and public speaking.

Yesterday, my team presented our capstone project at the Entrepreneurship Fair, and we got amazing feedback from the judges and everyone who came to see our presentation!
Our project is called PureFlow. We designed an innovative water bottle with a three-layer filtration system to help provide clean drinking water to people who donā€™t have easy access to safe water. We also made sure our design was environmentally friendly.

Iā€™m so grateful to my teammates ( Marvel-my big sister and Sophia-a dependable ally)for all their hard work. Iā€™m super grateful to my mentors who made my time at BenU so rewarding and for guiding us through every step of this project. A huge thank you to my mom and dad for always supporting and encouraging me. I couldnā€™t have done it without you!

This has been one of the best parts of my summer, and Iā€™m so thankful for it.

A SHORT STORY TO INSPIRE EVERY FAMILY.
There's Always A First Time!

It's Saturday and of course chores are shared based on what one is perceived of capable of doing. Zitel was given the simplest of packing the toys and making her bed. But guess what, she insisted on doing the harder one. Cleaning the bathroom.
Zitel didnā€™t just want to helpā€”she wanted to be trusted.
ā€œIā€™m big enough,ā€ she said.
Mum knew it would be easier to do it herselfā€¦ but instead, she stayed close and let Zitel try.
It wasnā€™t perfect at firstā€”missed spots, little splashes, pauses to figure things out. But Zitel didnā€™t quit. She kept going, correcting herself, learning as she cleaned.
And in the end?
The bathroom sparkled.
Not because everything was done perfectlyā€¦ but because she took ownership and saw it through.
Thatā€™s the lesson:
Confidence grows when kids are given a chanceā€”not when everything is done for them.
For every family watching, itā€™s a reminder:
Let them try. Guide them, donā€™t replace them.
Because today itā€™s a bathroomā€¦ tomorrow, itā€™s life.
