Innovation often starts with solving your own problem āØ
Last week, I had a soul-nourishing walk with my friend and fellow health and wellness practitioner, Meredith Berry Vieceli of WildBerry Wellness.
We talked about how our paths have paralleled each other in the most unexpected ways.
Years agoābefore social media and before āwellnessā became a buzzwordāI found myself on a personal health journey. I had been helping busy professionals stay fit and healthy when I learned I had genetically high cholesterol.
Through nutrition and movement, I lowered it naturallyābut as a vegetarian, I noticed something missing: there wasnāt a single great-tasting, clean, soy-based nutrition bar on the market.
So, in my passion and naivety, I created one. š±
Healthy Soylutions was born from late nights in my kitchen, experimenting with soy nut butter, designing packaging, building an e-commerce site, and figuring out manufacturingāall before social media!
When I shared this with Meredith, she laughed because she had done the exact same thing around the same timeācreating her own clean bar for the same reason.
We also discovered we both crossed the same barriers to success. We didnāt know each other then, but somehow, our journeys mirrored one another.
Weāve both learned that sometimes innovation means creating what you need most. And over time, that path often leads back to your purpose: sharing wisdomāteaching others how to nourish, heal, and thrive.
Now, as two seasoned wellness practitioners and coaches, weāre channeling those lessons into something new- an innovation based on what is needed.
