As we enter Thanksgiving week, Iâm reminded of why I have spent the past seven years writing about the Meal, discussing slow foods, slow meals, and the importance of slowing down long enoughânot just to eat, but to be nourished on a deeper level.
The Meal is more than just foodâŚ
Itâs a five-sense experienceâone that nourishes us physically, mentally, and emotionally while awakening creativity, deepening relationships, and strengthening connections.
In a world that moves quickly, the table remains one of the few places where we can intentionally choose to slow downânot for productivity or performance, but for presence. â¨
As we begin Thanksgiving week, hereâs your Monday reset to help you step into the holiday with calm and clarity (a reminder for myself as well, as tension rises around the house before the big feast đ )
đ§ Breathe deeply and meditateâfocus on presence before productivity.
đPlan your menu (if you havenât already).
đąClean out your fridge to create space for the abundance thatâs coming.
đŤShop today for fresh ingredients and to avoid the crowds.
đŚ And yesâbuy your turkey.
A grounded start sets the tone for the entire week. Hereâs to more meaningful meals, deeper conversations, and moments worth rememberingâboth at home and at work.
